Leocadie Company is a Zurich-based dance company founded by choreographer and dancer Léa Schneider. Her artistic work explores the individual and collective stories that flow through our bodies, questioning notions of identity, memory, and transmission.
The company’s choreographic language is rooted in contemporary dance while embracing influences from hip-hop and club styles. Each creation stems from the encounter between the performers and their personal experiences, which gradually transform into a shared choreographic vocabulary.
"Daring to be vulnerable creates a space where more authentic connections can emerge."
"For a long time, I believed that showing vulnerability was a sign of weakness—something to hide. But by constantly trying to resist and please others at all costs, I realized I was cutting myself off from an essential part of my humanity."
This creation is a contemporary dance piece, it explores the transition from rigidity—the social armor we build—towards a sincere fluidity. It is an invitation to dive into the mental and physical space where we finally drop our masks to embrace vulnerability as a true strength of authenticity and connection.
The piece is performed by four dancers whose movements translate the journey from social rigidity to a rediscovered emotional freedom.
